They have been recognized for their extraordinary nursing careers and are among the nation's most highly-educated citizens. To encourage continuing growth, the Academy posts career opportunities.

Nursing Outlook

Nursing Outlook, the Academy's official bi-monthly journal, provides innovative ideas for leaders in the nursing profession through peer-reviewed articles and timely reports. Each issue examines current issues and trends in nursing practice, education and research, offering progressive solutions to the challenges facing the profession.

Technology Drill Down

Technology Drill Down (TD2) represents an opportunity to develop an improved process for identifying technological solutions to medical/surgical unit workflow inefficiencies. Twenty-five hospitals and health systems participated as a TD2 site between March of 2006 and May of 2007. All of the sites found the process beneficial in identifying workflow issues and areas most ripe for technological fixes as well as process improvements.

Community of Experts

The American Academy of Nursing wants to share the knowledge and work of our fellows with you. The Academy has developed an advanced search tool that allows the public to search our fellow database. Searches include attributes you pick and can be as generic as functional area to as specific as last name.
