Job Postings, External Events, and eNewsletter Advertisements

The Academy accepts job postings and external event announcements from both Fellows and the Public. All announcements/ads will be reviewed and approved by the Academy prior to publication. They should be no more than 2 pages in length and include relevant contact information, and submission deadlines. After receipt of purchase is received, the advertisement will be posted online within 5 business days or in the appropriate eNewsletter. eNewsletter Specifications:

• Final ad is due 5 business days prior to the publication date (2012 deadlines: January 8st, April 9nd, July 9nd, October 13th)
• Announcement/ad will appear as a headline on the right side of the eNewsletter that links to your full announcement/ad

EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011, THE ACADEMY WILL NO LONGER BE PROVIDING PHYSICAL MAILING LABELS.

The American Academy of Nursing is an organization of distinguished leaders in nursing who have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to the profession and to health care. The Academy established in 1973 under the aegis of the American Nurses Association is now a 501(c)(3) organization that continues to provide visionary leadership to the nursing profession and the public in shaping future health policy, advancing scientific knowledge, and influencing the development of effective health care policies and practices. Academy Fellows are recognized nationally and internationally as nursing leaders in education, management, practice and research.

There are currently 1100 Fellows on our mailing list. This mailing list is updated twice a year.

The mailing list uses the preferred mailing address of the FAAN, which may be either a business or a home address.

Mailing List Specifications:

• The Academy will review and approve a sample of all mailing pieces prior to processing label order.
• The Academy mailing list is sent as an excel spreadsheet.

• The Academy mailing list is to be used one time only.
• The Academy mailing list is to be used apolitically, in good taste, and not for the solicitation of funds.
• The Academy mailing list is sent within two (2) weeks of receipt of the order.
